Chef Carter Reyenga creates unique sliders offered for a limited time made with out-of-the-box ingredients inspired by the holidays and seasonally available ingredients, innovating the menu each month. 

The Butcher’s Specials are often centered around food holidays or inspired by seasonal or cultural inspirations. When creating these “Butcher’s Specials,” Chef Reyenga starts with locally-raised organic Wagyu beef from A Bar N Ranch or all white meat chicken breast and creates a new slider with a unique flavor profile. Son of a Butcher uses fresh, premium ingredients to create unique flavors, textures, and aromas for each slider.

The monthly Butcher’s Specials are typically available at Son of Butcher from the first day of the month through the month’s end.

What Are Some Favorite Specials?

The Little Tex Slider inspired by nostalgic food from the Texas State Fair. This slider featured Wagyu beef, comeback sauce, caramelized onions, pickles, sharp cheddar, donut buns, and powdered sugar to garnish.

The Frenchie is an elevated slider crafted with seasonal ingredients available during the month of October, including Wagyu beef, brie cheese, french onion, fig jam, micro sorrel, drizzled with garlic aioli. 

The Pumpkin Shake, made for Halloween, includes pumpkin, caramel, candy corn, sprinkles.

The Gobbler Thanksgiving slider was made with a moist turkey patty, American cheese, cranberry sauce, caramelized onions, arugula, English mustard aioli, and fried onion string.

The Cherry Pie Shake was available during Thanksgiving and featured Cherry Pie filling, graham crackers, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and powdered sugar.

The Prime Rib Slider was perfect for the holidays and was made with Prime rib, horseradish aioli, arugula, and crispy fried onions. 

The Peppermint Bark Shake paired perfectly with the Prime Rib slider during the Christmas season. This delicious treat was crafted with peppermint, chocolate, whipped cream, and  topped with a touch of powdered sugar.
